Can someone help me identify what model of Invader Trihull boat that I have? Is there someway of looking up the vin/hull number to identify what it is? There really isn't much online for identifying these old Invaders......any help with my restoration project would be much appreciated! I will measure the length and beam tomorrow as well as take a picture of the information plate. Boat is the one in my avatar.......

Had a lot of them around Dallas in the early '70's at least. A large dealer on I-35 in NW Dallas (actually Lewisville, TX.) stocked them and sold a lot of them. The dealer is still there but may be under a different name. There were 2 at the time. Don't know how many or which one survived.

May do a Google for boat dealers in Lewisville and if you find the right one they may still have manuals, knowledgeable service tech, that can help.

The Vin plate says....

1972 Invader
Model: SC15
Max HP: 80

What I'm looking for is the dealer pamphlets, photos of what it originally had for interior, and what does the "SC15" stand for?

Not intending on hijacking this tread, but wanted to catch Texasmark's attention. My boat was bought in north Texas in '75. Somewhere around Dallas. I think Valentine Marine. Is this a name you have heard of? Thanks, Mike

No. I have been trying to recall the name. I'll play around with some sites and see if I can get you an answer.

You know, this www is one amazing tool. I fooled around with several combinations of words and within 15 minutes I had: "phildillboats.com. That guy (Phil Dill) has been in business since the early '50's and is still there.....says something for his ability to please customers. I know this is the one of the two dealers I mentioned in Lewisville, question is, was he the one who sold Invader? So here we are in a recession and he just opened a new boating facility. Ha!

Give him a try.

Looks like Phil Dill boats is just one more dead end for me and my Invader.....guess it's one more reason I'm building a '73 Glastron GT160 next!!
