1972 Johnson 100hp carb leak

I have a 1972 johnson 100 hp outboard (100esl72) motor with a carb leak in the bottom carb. Does this need acarb kit or just fuel level adj. If fuel adj level, where to I adjust this at?<br /><br />any help would be greatly appreciated<br /> :p :p :p :p

The carburetors may both need cleaning and rebuilding. However, to answer your question pertaining to adjusting the float, remove the carburetor and remove the bottom portion (float chamber), then........<br /><br />(Carburetor Float Setting)<br />(J. Reeves)<br /> <br />With the carburetor body held upside down, the float being viewed from the side, adjust the float so that the free end of the float (the end opposite the hinge pin) is ever so slightly higher (just ever so slightly off level) than the other end. And when viewed from the end, make sure it is not cocked.

Thanks for the feedback. I now noticed after closer examination that the leak is comming from twi holes directly behnid the chock valve. the engine will start right up and then within minutes These two holes start to leak gas. Any help with this would be great<br /><br />Thanks <br /><br />Chris
