1972 Shear Pin ?

I need a drive shear pin for my 1972 18hp Evinrude? Can anyone help me. Found some old stock at a local sportings good store but only diminisions. So I am looking for help? Wanting to be on the water Friday.

I ran a shear pin motor years ago. I always used a 5/32" stainless welding wire. Cut to length; you can't beat it.

Part number 307949 Drive pin, 3/16" diameter X 1-3/8" long Stainless Steel.
