Pap, I was out working on the admiral's jet ski trailer in a t shirt today. Don't think we're gonna see much of this weather for long.

Spring will be here soon enough and I'm sure you'll be right back on her :)

Re: 1972 Starcraft Supersport

My nephews were up over Memorial Day and we got the motor pulled. So that has inspired me to try to get some more work done.

After reading a couple of posts, I've decided to try stripping the paint. I am going to attempt to use the Citristrip stuff from HD. Purchased some steel wool to persuade any thing too stubborn. We shall see...

I still have a small leak up front, even after applying Coat-it. I don't know if that says I applied it wrong (too cold outside) or if I am going to need to re-do the rivets in that area or if I should just apply some more in that area??? Perhaps I should have purchased Gluvit instead of trying to be different?

Anyway, I took some pics of the motor on it new stand, I'll post them later.

Hope to be making some progress, even if it is at a snails pace.:D

Glad to have you back. There's been just a few developments in my thread in that time ;) Good luck with it!

If you're still seeing a leak after coating, I'd look to try to physically repair the problem, rebucking the rivets, etc.

Well still no more progress, than what has been previously been posted. However did manage to get a new place to work on the boat started.

They should be pouring concrete tomorrow and put the metal on next week. Then we will see if I can't get back working on this Starcraft.
