Hello there! My friend and I bought a 1973 20' Thunderbird. Currently we are working on getting the engine rebuilt or possibly swaping out the engine depending on what the mechanic says. It has a Chevy 350 with 188 HP. One of the question we have if it is possible to convert it to have a Cubby Cabin. Here is the picture below. We would like to eventually take it to Cataline Island from Dana Point Harbor. But we are going to work our way there. We'll start from heading to Newport Harbor and what not but we'll see.

Interior in general is pretty good but there really not much to it.

Well here is what the bow of the boat looks like. You can crawl under it we were wondering if it is at all possible to turn it into a cuddy cabin.

Thanks guys for looking! Any suggestions with where to start first on restoration?

I'd start be removing that color scheme on the hull.

I go to Dana a lot. I'm in North OC. Last week I launched out of Newport with my brother. This Thursday I'm planning to launch out of Dana.

Let's meet. If not that day, pick another.
