One other option for you. Since those holes are above the waterline you could use JB water weld epoxy in the 2 part stick and fill the holes. Once hard sand smooth, prime and paint. That JB is tough.

To give the JB some more bite in the holes so as to limit the possibility of the plugs falling out from an impact, take a drill with a bit a size larger than the hole and with the drill on a slow speed slightly carefully bevel / camphor the holes on both sides. Just don't get carried away and punch through a bigger hole

I found some 1/4"x2" alum angle for the knee, all the import stuff at Lows/Depot just looks flimsy/cheap to me.
I will use bolts thru the transom and 1/4" rivets and bolt on the knee.buttered up with 5200. thumbnail_20160310_180636.jpg thumbnail_20160310_180619.jpg

That will work fine. There really isn't a lot of options to fix knee braces.

GA you got that right,I have one rivet on the bottom of the brace that's leaking,Im going to try and reset it before I apply the gluvit.
If it wont stop leaking then I will just put a 1/4-28 ss truss in it with some 5200.I don't want to pull the whole thing cuz then I will have to buy
the rivet gun and all for one rivet.

That's a Uni-Console. They came with pre-drilled holes for anything that could possibly ever be attached to a center console. It was discontinued when the manufacturer ran out of places for new holes because nothing has standard fitment. LOL

It matches the kicker mount swiss cheese transom.

BTW - the console is ruined now because you did a good job filling all the holes. :D

Any concern about the tin patient rejecting the glass donor console?

How do you plan to attach it to the deck? T-nuts below deck?

No t-nuts,alum backing plates for it and the 22 gal moeller tank that will be inside the console,I'm trying to keep some weight in middle front.

IM going to try the rustoleum TOPSIDE on the console after reading the reviews, it will be under cover 95% of the time.
anyone used it ?

Rusto Pro w an added enamel hardener will probably be cheaper then the Topside Rusto.

And I'd suggest the same for any areas w GluvIt that needs to be covered.

Watermann is the only active member I know that used Topsides (on his SeaNymph) but I think he used Rusto Pro on the Chief. No problem w Topside, IIRC.

I used the Rusto TS on my SN and it sprays on great, roller or brush not so much for me. It's the same alkyd enamel as rusto pro and the industrial tractor paint I used on my Chief. Add the catalyst hardener and it's a very durable finish.
