40hp Johnson with steering and controls, runs great. We want to sell it but are not sure of a fair selling price. Any suggestions, or anyone know where we can find out what it's worth?
I've found that the NADA book doesn't hold much weight in the real world. Dealers will use it on trade-in, but motors sell in the PennySaver & Classifieds for much more than book. It all depends on the motor's condition and maintenance. I would say $400-$500 would be fair if it starts easy and runs well and doesn't look to banged up...<br />- Scott
