I am trying to locate the engine's kill / stop switch. The manual shows two black wires one each leading to a seperate point on the ignition system however there aren't any black wires on mine. Can anybody tell me if it had one and it was taken off and if so can I wire up a universal kill switch?

That engine did have what looked like lamp cord exiting from under the flywheel. You can remove the flywheel and actually use one side of the lamp cord to connect to each set of points. Then, when connected to the kill switch, when you push in the switch, the points are grounded and the engine stops.

Be aware though that some Chrysler engines had a built-in kill switch under the flywheel which was activated by turning the throttle all the way down. Others had no kill switch and were stopped by slowing the engine past the point where it would continue running (regressive engineering if you ask me)
