I am trying to buy a push to choke switch for a 40EL74S (1974 johnson 40hp). Originally it had a seperate toggle switch for choke. The wire colors don't seem to match what I have seen posted. Could someone suggest the correct wiring? I have:
Purple/white stripe (choke)
White (Start)
Red/white stipe - (Batt)
Blue - ?
Blue/white stripe - ?
Can I use a push to choke switch or do i need to have a seperate choke toggle? If so, there are 6 terminals on the push to choke switches, and I only have 5 wires. How should i connect?
