you tested 0 ohms on the blues back to the kill switch which is what you wanted

NEW harness solved it!!! wasnt that expensive, and simple to install

imo, you need to put the multi-meter in the drawer, and get a simple continuity tester -- the kind with a light, battery and probe. To satisfy curiosity and prepare for the next time around, test each of the wires in the old harness, point to point. See if there is a broken or corroded wire. Check any fuse links -- takes only a small bit of corrosion.
