1974 Merc I/O - Trim/Tilt 'O' ring replacements

I have fluid seeping out of one hydraulic tube at the end cap. I have the new set of "O" rings and intend to do the repair myself. Mechanic says not a big deal to do, anyone have any watch outs and advice? Also, can anyone tell me the proper procedure for bleeding the system when I am done? <br />Thanks!

do not put plyiers or vise to the stainless ram nicks in ram make leaks place cyl in vise at the back where tilt pin goes use big plyers remove end cap pull rod out slow oil is going to go everywhere do it over a drain pan. remove seals and scraper rings and repalce if you get the whole rebuild kit from merc they will include instructions. to bleed refill system and run it up and down till it sounds good refill unit as needed it self bleeds.
