The block is the same as the same model of auto engine. Some internals are specific to marine use, such as the core plugs are brass, the camshaft is a little peppier head gasket is stainless, compression may be a little higher. but you you could find an auto or Pick Up would be a better donor and use the engine or block and swap over your internals and ALL the externals.
