Hope everyone had a nice Easter...Got some more work done this weekend. Bought some new wood for the rear cross member, and some trim. Finished filling holes, priming, and started wet sanding. Relocated the shifter, and some other odds and ends.

Re: 1976 Holiday 18 Mercruiser 120

I have been doing a lot of work but not much posting. Hard to take pictures when your covered in grease & oil.
I finished painting the top side, it came out ok. Not excited about it but it will clean up with some compound.
Dropped the lower unit to check the water pump, the old pump looked great but replaced it anyway.
Rebuilt the Carburetor, replaced the fuel pump, and added a spin on fuel filter/water separator. I had an issue with a dead spot but found that my accelerator pump was not working properly.
Replaced the wires, plugs, cap, rotor, points, and coil for good measure. Now I have a spare to keep on the boat.
Installed a stereo, and VHF, new horn, and a bunch of other little things, and started to put the interior together. I still have to repair the rear seats, and replace the vinyl on the side panels. Added some more Sapele! I plan on building a transom mount for my trolling motor, and I want to install a swim platform.

I took a cruse around the pond over the weekend and it went off without a hitch. No paddling and no water in the bilge at all.
Boat runs and rides great. I am looking forward to spending a lot of time on it this summer.

Thank you! No, I didn't get wet. The boat is wet from washing off the wood chips I made when I attached the strips to the bow.

Had her out on the open ocean over the weekend. It was ridiculously nice, hardly any wind. I started collecting some more boat oriented fishing equipment, hope to do some serious Striper fishing soon.
