Trim quit on me in the water. I wasn't able to get the motor up so I had to drain the hydraulic fluid out to hand pull up the motor so I could tow it home. There was a clicking from the solenoid so I replaced it to no help. Then I cleaned the elec connection to the batt and that sparked the trim motor back to life. Now the thing just runs without doing any trimming to the motor. I believe there is suffient hydraulic fluid but I could be wrong. I think the problem might lie in the fact that I drained the fluid out in the first place to bring the motor up manually. I'm really confused. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Dan,thought you had a motor I didn't know about. GRIN

Have you replaced the oil?If not,do so,and work the motor up and down in short spurts, adding oil as needed.
DHP

Also, can we rename wing nuts on batteries to PLIER nuts?
