Hi

I have a 1976 Mercury 200 and have been having problems with the carburetor.
It is in need of a strip down and service which has been partially completed, I have on order new gaskets and floats ect.
My only concern is setting it up as I have never done this before, I have a pocket service guide which came with the engine but this is more of a generic guide for the full mercury range.
Can any one point me in the direction of a specific service manuel or a link on the net explaining how to set up my carb.
I have trawled the internet but have had no joy.

thanks

Re: 1976 Mercury 200 Carb Question

and your low speed needle (the flat head with the spring on it, going into the carb body on an angle) needs to be adjusted as such:

screw it in untill it seats itself gently, dont tighten too much or you will damage the needle, and back off 1 to 1 and a half turns you can adjust while idling untill its right hope this helps
