One is a prestolite and the a Baush.<br /><br />If ya want to rebuild it, brush plate assembly part No. 379967 and the brush set 379992.<br /><br />You may pick one up at NAPA complete. They were discontiued by Bomby. You can also get the plate and brushes from NAPA.
Okay my motor has a presolite starter did not know it was oem though. My part number on it is 41020 though not 380239. Where did you find your part numbers
Hi beertech...the number you posted is not a OMC part number. Not enough numbers. Probably a manufactures' number. I got my numbers off a parts breakdown disc.
I went through iboats store and didn't see one for your application. Ya' might try a NAPA store. Or check on ebay. Or, again, check your local Johnny/Rude dealer for a rebuilt starter.<br /><br />Best of Luck!
