check this out.....make the dash out of aluminum, then have it anodized blue. that would look sharp, i love the way a good piece anodized sets things off. and its a custom look u wont see very often. just a thought...

LOL I try not to waiste too much time, summer is here! I live in vegas, and it is nice and warm,but soon it will be hott, almost too hott!

My lil ship has made alot of progress, but there is still so much more I can do ( speacially after seeing your project ), my new gast tank should be done by the end of the week, Im excited to see what it is going to look like.

Tomorrow, sand down the evercoat we used to fill pinholes on the bottom, aside from that finish up on the cap, sand down the new patches, re-apply all the matal. Aslo I need to do some repairs on my windshield, really it needs to be replaced and will be when I find one for a decent price, but in the meantime ll put some llittle bracckts attached w/ sheetmetal screws, and the rest of the metal on the cap needs to secured. The new guage panel is going to be built in the next few days as-well, and I got a new steering wheel, lol a sick 1.

Yeah we were using paper masks. I am assuming I should be using something different. But most the sanding is over. Gotta have the 2nd battery switch, 1 or 2 or both.

Looks real clean, I just dont know if I have the extra cake right now, but ill keep the info incase I change my mind, I am not really looking for the car look anyway, a custom look sure, but that is very automotive, would look great in one of those boats that have that vinatge car body style.

Well it is Friday

Lastnight the bottom was shot with new gelcoat, cnat wait to see that this morning, then today we are going evercoat,sand, and gelcoat the top.

I also have some minor windshield repairs that I will be tending to.,I think my new gas tank will be done today! so I am excited to see that as-well, yesterday also took measuremenst for new sunbrella bimini top, What do you guys think, just take opinions here on bimini top color, I was thinking white or blue.....

work on dash as-well today, gotta get that started at least.

Im certain I will find some more **** to do as-well.

Ps ill post the updated pictures tonight after I return from the shop, If I have it my way, it will not be til' late tonight..

I know, but I may end up having to just make do, while keeping my eye out for something that will last the durration. Its funny you said that, I was just telling the wife this morning that eventually the white is going to fade to an off white or even yellow. Any other ideas for me?

Well if your outdrive has "D 3 2 1" how will you shift gears without this dash setup. That dash is cool LOL. But i have not seen a boat with gears like that. Is there a clutch in the boat and you drive it like a manual car? LOL You could just take the dash off your car and put it on your boat. Im going to take the dash off my washing machine and use it in my boat. I figure i can put it in "spin" gear if I wanted to go fast. Also i would not need a bilge pump i could just set it to "drain". Maybee a dash from a microwave?

OMG, LOL, I almost peed a lil', when I read this post.

I have always liked the wood grain style, found great dash from an 83' fleetwood, its got evrything I need, I just pop that sucker in over drive and away I go.

Should I go for the pinstriping too?
3 on the colum, she's a runner.
