1977 70hp evinrude lower unit removal

Hello one and all. I am needing some help with my 1977 70hp evinrude. I am planning on replacing the water pump due to overheating. can anyone tell me how to remove the lower unit to gain access to the water pump. any info sent my way would be appreciated. illustrations or instructions would be great. thanks

Remove the screw going through the vertical shift rod. (Under the carbs from port side)
Remove all screws holding the gear case, do NOT forget the one under the trim tab!!
