the hose does put out alot of water.. after i shut down the motor .. turn off the water .. remove the muffs it comes pouring out..

As long as your motor isn't running hot...your probably good to go.

BonairII, how hard is it to check out the water jacket? i have some times before i actually use it.. may look into taking a peak.
