As indicated in previous post I just aquired a 1977 Johnson 15 HP. I have performed the following Maintainance and was wondering if there was anything else I should do since the motor has not been run since about 2000.
I have do the following:
1. New Oil and Gas at 50 to 1
2. New Spark Plugs
3. Clean the Fuel lines, checked all the connections, and cleaned fuel screen
4. Lubed all the lube points
5. Repaired the Idle Knob assembly
6. Changed the Lower Unit Oil
7. Checked all wire connections.
8. Check Prop and Prop shaft and lubed spine and reinstalled Prop
Next project would be the Impellor, but anything else that I should be checking for?
