1977 Johnson 6 hp Ignition problem, (no spark)

Cranked engine and it ran for a moment then stopped.
Removed plugs = no spark
Pulled the flywheel and need to test electronic ignition.
Have good Multimeter, what is the test proceedure?

First try disconnecting the kill switch and see if it fires. They have a habit of getting shorted. switch or wires to it.
