My poor old merc has no spark at all. I have no pulse coming out of the switchbox to any of the coils. I do have AC voltage coming from the stator. Is there any way for me to test the trigger? Either a continuity or voltage test? The mercury switch is working the way it is supposed to. I think I have it narrowed down to either the trigger or the switchbox.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Frank

Well, in case I wasn't specific enough in my post I will try again.

The trigger has four wires, all hooked to the switchbox. black, white, brown, and purple. There are a total of four wires on the top of the box. black (from trigger), orange (kill), red and blue from stator. The other three trigger wires mount on the left of the box. One wire from each coil mounts on the right side of the box.

I am getting no spark to any cyliner. There is A/C voltage on red and blue stator wires during cranking. There is no voltage present on any of the other wires during cranking.

Thank you in advance for your help.
