1977 sea sprite

Hi y’all. I have a 1977 sea sprite with a Johnson 80hp motor. I recently acquired the boat, and realized the steering gets stuck in one direction. The guy at the boat store said it’s a swap of the steering cable, not too bad. Has anyone done this? Specifically with this boat? I don’t have the manual and can’t find a video.
