1978 25 Johnson lock, help

I am trying to figure out how the full tilt works on this older Jonny 25R78C, It does not have the flat bars that catch in the groove/slot like most I see. Is it possible this model has no full tilt lock position? if anyone knows/has one could I get info on how it works. might be something missing on mine, I looked at the diagram at evinrude.com and cannot tell. thank you.

If it's any help, my '78 15 hp does not have full tilt / lock. It only has a spring loaded bracket that you can fold down and rests on the trim bar. I guess it would be handy if "beaching" the boat. I have a '73 25 hp that does have full tilt and lock as you described.

bonzo thanks, yeh that's pretty much the kind I'm use to seeing with the spring fold down latch, this one don't have even that, I found a online manual that might be for this type motor and it mentions to tighten the 9/16 nut to any tilt position? Guess I can add a latch of some home made type (2x4) lol
