Re: 1978 Holiday 14' V5

Got some time this afternoon in the nice weather and brought the Johnny 65 to life. This video thing is a little tricky, not used to the camera, or making videos. I ended up with three short ones. Click on them to watch. The motor runs very nice, too bad there is no soft water left to take her for a splash.

That old Jonny looks and sounds great, DII. The Holiday, too. Can't you chop some ice for a short dip?

Sounds great Glen! Purrrrrring away!!! Nice stuff. You'd have to go south a ways likely to get some soft water....!

Come on D, you'll run across the border to smuggle tin north, but won't run south to take it for a quick dip????

Looks & sounds great! Running even a moderate top end prop, that little V5 is gonna FLY...... Outstanding!

Yea, just load up the corporate jet, mod by Starcraft. Head down to Tahoe and take the Holiday for a spin.

Nice you figured out vids and made the motor pop.

Thanks Guys, I like the way she runs, videos are a little feeble but it's a start. I have a little bit of polishing left to do and I will put here up for sale. See if there are any boat buyers out in the cold.

Very nice little boat!

While up there with MS Canada they did mention boating/fishing is huge.

I have pictures of a few sitting out on the ice with a pole (I ended up in Winnipeg not Ont).

I thought it funny the condition of the curbs and streets up there, shows the level of freeze you guys get... + the whole under ground mall thing was neat. :)

Born and raised in Winterpeg Manisnowba. Spent the first 17 years of my life there, back then the winters were long and cold we had snow for most all Hallowens and it stayed till mid to late May. Great city and there are lakes everywhere in the Province, with super fishing, at least it was 40 years ago.

Well, if it has to go, it has to go.

Hopefully it'll be a great 1st rig for someone w/ little ones or a single kid family. Many can ONLY haul the smallish rigs, so it shouldn't be too tough to unload. Smaller rig w/ a smaller intro price should help get 1st time boat buyer into it too.

Flip away :)

Gonna help fund the Holiday anyway :watermelon:
