Had a bad day at the boat ramp. Got backed down, and tried to start motor with Motor up . Started got stuck. Took calling off then disconnected negative battery terminal. Then un engaged starter. Put calling back on. Started engine, everything seems ok then found out dock where you take boat is torn down and can't be used.
Took boat to another dock , unloaded and took off and could bearly get her planed up. Could only get 24 mph when I can usually hit close to 40mph. Got boat home and found wire running from Power pack to resistor had been previously cut and crimped with a end to end connector. ( One of the ends had come out of the crimped connector. Probably happened when I took off the caling.
Is ther anything else I should check before I take it to the water? It ran like a scolded dog prior to this happening.
