1979 15 horse please help

I have a 1979 15 horse johnson.Yeasterday I took it out after 9 months sitting,got it fired up but could'nt get any speed. noticed water oil mix coming out of holes just above the lower unit. Right behind the screw to add lub to the lower unit
Also water oil mix at the prop nut. The motor started to go fast for just a sec. then bogged down.
I started it with a water bra a month ago and it ran fine. Any suggestions would be well appreciated.

Clean the crap out of the carb...and a 79 might just need a carb kit by now

If you have a plastic gas tank and you left it sitting in the weather for 9 months the gas needs to be replaced and about the oil mix your seeing from the holes and the prop nut: thats no big deal because them are exhaust holes and exhaust also comes out just behind the prop... and if your loss of power problem its not because of old gas then szxcrobby is definetely correct its in the carbs, but rest easy the water oil mix is just from the exhaust

since the search doesn't work . here goes. remove the carb, completely disassemble, soak in carb cleaner over night, then blow out all orifices with compressed air, new reassemble with a carb rebuilt kit that also has a new float. reinstall, adjust the idle mixture and speed. pay close attention to the linkage before you that it apart, so you can get back together right. good luck,
