been working on this dam boat for 2 1/2 years now paid good money too a boat repair place in woodburn oregon to fix all this! new stingers, transom, and floor seven years ago! went to go fishing 3 years ago to find that the ez-load trailer rusted through so i built a new one out of 3/16 2x4 steel tubing all sealed tight went from rollers too 2x6 deck boards with carpet on them
thought i was ready to go and jumped into the boat and crunch dam floor gave out! at this point i should have put this boat on the burn pile and burned it! and went out and bought a new one but the price of a good deep V hull it to spendy for me
so hence ( in to deep!) was sold when i took it in to get all this fixed was new stringer, transom, and floor all fiberglassed in nope nada i got screwed and the place is now out of business!
the setup new transom 3 layers of marine plywood and 4 layers of fiberglass a layer between each sheet of plywood got the floor of the boat sanded and i am going to re coat it with a new layer of fiberglass this to might be an over kill but i might as well do it right because it will make me feel better when i am out on the water in this boat ( i hate that nagging feeling maybe i should have done that!!! )
i have gotten allot of info from this forum and thank you all for all of your post and things that you all have gone through and the fixes and all that! it has been a very big help on this resto of mine
i drive truck so when i get home i only get 34 to 40 hours off each week! and then i got that dam Honey Doo list thing i have to deal with first!
one thing i have learned and nothing is said about is if anyone is going to do anything like this!! is when you go to start grinding and sanding bare as little skin as you can and get a mask a good shop vac and get it setup so you can get all of your cutting, grinding, and sanding done on one day or two don't be miserable with that itching thing for three weeks ya kind of get a bit crabby!!
what i have come up to is in the bow i am at a point i do not know how to fix this i got the floor that goes up to a point this this open bow part of the front deck it's floor sits on top of the main floor with a 1/2" gap between
and to me the only way to get to that rotten part of the main deck floor in to cut the gel-coat and fiberglass of the open bow out but if i do that how do i put that part back together?:
i got some pics here i hope you can see what i am talking about and if any one here can help with this i will appreciate

this is the pic were ya can see the open bow part of the floor and you can see were the old floor is under it

also does anyone here know how to get the shine back on the gel-coat from the sun fading it??
Thanks !! in to deep
