I have been rounding up parts for a restoration project of 18' '79 Switzer Super Sport. I've pretty much found everything that will be needed except for the molding that seals and covers the top fiberglass to the bottom hull. My best guess is that the molding is roughly 1" round with a 1/4 to 5/16" grove about 5/8 to 3/4" deep.
The closes that I can find is in the link below.

Also I see that this design was made with what is called a single hull or double hull design. single hull is rated at 175HP double hull design hull is rated for 275 HP. Can someone please elaborate on this and how it gets past the rating of Length x Width x 2 minus 90, rounded up to the next multiple of 5.

ANy Help on these is greatly appreciated, Thank you in advance.

Good luck finding it. I've heard Bob Switzer has the info on the manufacturer or knows where a ton of oem rub rail is? Mine was pinched on and had screws/rivets on the underside of the rail. Im not sure if that was factory or previous owners doing, when i took it off it did appear there were holes made for screws.

That is the girl, she is a good looking thing for a older boat. Mine not sure if it's original or been renovated. Has aluminum rivers holding top and bottom together. Then rub rail is very flexible and stapled too the underneath all the way around. Everything is hidden when finished but the rail I found isn't flexible enough to go around the nose or the rear or will cover the rivets. Really struggling trying to find something close that will work.

Found a Switzer and appears to be something like what Seadoo used on their older models. Issue from the pics I cannot tell how it is held in place. Found several places which sell the rub rail and look at this one. It is two piece but may work. What keeps the top and bottom together

I actually bought a 1 foot piece of this rail and unfortunately won't work. Center gap needs to be 1/4 inch or 5/16 inch maybe 3/8 but that might be too big.
