1980 115HP Tower of Power hydraulic steering

Hi, I have a 1980 115hp Mercury & want to fit hydraulic steering. I was looking at the Baystar hydraulic steering kit made by Dometic, but the manufacturer says it fits Mercury outboards from 1984 onwards.
Does anyone have experience with this & know if the Baystar steering will fit my 1980 Merc?

I would say there is no difference between a 1980 " tower of power " and a 1985 model of the same motor.

There was a Change to the Yoke in 1984, and that might be an Attachment/Mounting location
