1980 35hp Johnson --Wont Pee

I replaced the water pump impeller, and thermostat and the motor is not peeing? I pulled off the hose and it is clear no water coming from the engine. Any ideas on what to do next? I ran the motor for about 1 min to see if the thermostat needed to open but no pee

Tell tale could be plugged.-----Or put water in your test bucket 6" above the impeller.

Blow some air in it.----Or remove elbow at the motor to clean it out.

Agree with above. But check the top of the head to see if it's overheating (i.e. too hot to touch for a few seconds). An IR tester is a very good investment.
