1980 Evinrude control box wiring

Hi Ian in the process of wiring my gage's on my boat.i pulled out the electrical on my old 74 mfg Tri hull and put it in a 90 sylvan v bottom I've got everything together and working but the transom gage gage work's hooked up to battery on both sides and worked on my Tri hull.my question is purple wire that comes off the control box is that wire spost to have 12v or 5v ?? All my grounds are gd and my transom signal gage is good any help would be appreciated

12v with key on. IF it is factory wire meant for tach.

Thank you that's what I was thinking but not sure how I lost 12v from the ignition.would u also know what wire IAM spost 2 jump from for the rpm tach
