Move the trim rod down one hole at a time until the porpoising stops. The CDIElectronics Web Site has a Troubleshooting Test for your ADI ignition system

That whale tale should take care of the porpoising, and help getting on plane faster. ( some hulls are prone to porpoising ) I have only seen a difference of 1 to 2 mph with the tail installed. Not sure why folks are telling you to get rid of it.

Kevin, The whale tail is an unknown. We do not want unknowns in the diagnosis. In addition, the boat is a 15 footer with a 115HP motor. It should fly with that power. A whale tail cannot be necessary, for his application.

Ok ... I'll go along with that. I would use a calibrated shop tach to measure rpm's at wot though.
