1980 mercury 50 hp 2 stroke 4 cylinder won't fire

My 1980 merc 50 hp 2 stroke 4 cylinder was running, but barely. I rebuilt fuel pumps and now it won't even fire. Used to fire right up. Any ideas??

First thing I would do is charge the battery and have it load tested.----Costs no coins.
