1981 35 hp Johnson Fuel line Connectors

I just recently purchased a totally rebuilt an 81 35 hp johnson and im trying to figure out if i need a different fuel line connector for my 16 ft boat beacuse the motor is aged

If your old tank/hose assembly is a single line Evinrude/Johnson unit, the fitting(s) would be identical.<br /><br />It would help if we had a proper description of the fittings you're speaking of.

thanks for replying but im not sure i bought the 35 horse 81 johnson rebuilt with steering cables and everything but not anything to do with the fuel line connectors. i have a 16 foot boat and i was wondering what type of connector i need the fitting in the motor looks circular....PLEASE HELP i need this info within the next 4 days :confused:

Does the connector from your tank look like this:<br /><br /><br /><br />

<br /><br /><br /><br />If so, then that's the right connector for your 81 Johnson. If it doesn't look like that, then you'll need a new one, which you can get from any marine supply place. I'm assuming that you have a single-hose system, given the age of your boat.
