Motor was running fine when put up for winter. This spring when I started it up it had a severe hard miss when idling. If I pull the choke out a very little bit the miss is greatly reduced. I was told carburator. I got a new carb (new not used) no change. I removed the fuel line from carb, pumped the bulb and fuel came through. I pulled the rope many times and no fuel came out. New diaphram, gasgets and reeds for fuel pump. No change. Mixed up new fuel with Stabil and took the boat out to see if it would clear up. No. At higher RPM miss seems to diminish but boat will not plane.
I am lost.

Ok, I pulled the flywheel cleaned and set points. Still the same. Starts good, runs... put put put put BLAH! (very hard single miss) put put put put BLAH!

1. Could this be a crankcase vacuum leak?
2. Would spraying WD-40 on the crankcase gasket seams while running possibly help to
detect this?
3. Was the engine stored with stabil treated gas or dry?
4. Two Good blue sparks?
5. Have points contact?s continuity been tester with a meter vs eyes?
6. Do you have close sharp pics on Mag Sys showing point's conditions?

WD 40 on crankcase gasget did not help, was stored with Stabil treated gas, good blue spark, no meter on points but good blue spark, points look good and not worn. Ran perfect when parked for winter.
