I have an 1883 115 chrysler, I took it out and it was running fine and I think I might have over heated it. Im not a hundred percent sure though. But basically the engine just died on me and now will not start again. It cranks and makes no clanking sound but wont start. It has spark and is getting fuel. It backfires every so often when I try to start it. Any Ideas on how I can trouble shoot and figure out my problem?

First do a compression test. That ok?
Then check the magnet under the flywheel.
Then the flywheel key.J

Took it into a boat shop and looks like i did over heat it. They put a camera in the cylinder and it looks like i spun something to where it is blocking the exhaust port in three of the cylinders. Looks like i will be taking part the engine and rebuilding.
