Need help in diagnosing a problem with my sons motor.
Here is the relevant info:

1983 Evinrude 25hp Model: E25ELCTD

Original symptoms:
Stopped running while underway. Would not restart.

Actions taken:
Round #1: Disassembled and cleaned carb, replaced most
fuel lines, filters, plugs.
Results: Would try to start on occasion if starting fluid is
shot into cylinders. Would not continue to run.

Round #2(sat idle for 8+ mos): Rebuilt fuel pump, rebuilt carb, replaced
remainder of fuel lines, replaced pump bulb, replaced control
box (flaky key switch), pulled flywheel and inspected stator.
New plugs, fresh gas. Kill switch (lanyard) removed from circuit.
Results: Started and ran great(on hose) for about 10 minutes. Started
running rough and died. Has not restarted since.

Current conditions:
Compression: 115psi(#1) & 114psi(#2). Holds pressure for
2+ minutes.
Spark is weak to non-existent.
Stator resistance measurements slightly high(according to Clymer
manual. Measurements made with 41/2 digit DMM:
Yg to Y = 1.08 ohms Target = .22 - .32 ohms
Yg to Yb = .56 ohms Target = .22 - .32 ohms
Yg to Gnd = infinite Target = infinite
Attempt power pack output test per manual using same DMM. No
voltage measured.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
