I recently purchased a bass boat with an Evinrude 150hp 1984 outboard. My wife and I took it out for our maiden voyage. The motor idles and starts very well. However when I throttle up it begins to plane then losses power. Ocassionaly I was able to get it to plane and run at higher rpms. Eventually however I was never able to get it to plane again. I am somewhat engine literate (not outboards). Can someone help me?
