Ok, here we go the weather is trying to cooperate. I bought my very first boat last October and used it a couple of times before I had to winterize it (I live next to the great Lake Erie in Ohio and the winters suck). While playing around I notice the decking had a couple of soft spots. No big deal right? Just some good ole fashion itching, time, patients and money. I starting by throwing away the mangy old seats and ripping out the old faded carpet. The picture is what I found
. Can anyone tell me what is causing this part of the deck to come up? Its on the port side where the side wall ties into the decking. Its goes from the engine compartment to back of the passenger seat. The wood is in pretty good shape. Should I try to repair or should I just go ahead and cut it out to replace it? Thanks.
