Thanks everyone that has helped me with this motor for I have now got it runnnig from Carb to removing the lower unit to replace the Impeller.
I Now have a new issue.
When I start the motor up in the Neutral Position the propeller spins in Forward (causing it to be very hard to get off of the trailer and starting off at the boat ramp. Then after getting it started I can switch from forward neutral and reverse
Like I said I replaced the imepeller and I had to remove the lower unit. Could I have missed something?
also how much gear oil should i use in the lower unit? I
Further more when I stop I get a knocking sound for 2 to 3 seconds after I stp.
Is this normal or have I done something wrong?
Other than these new issues She runs fine and is now pumping water very well
