1985 115 ELPT Please help!!

I purchased a boat recently (my first) it has a 1985 mercury 115 elpt 6 cylinder outboard. I'm not completely clueless in mechanics but find myself getting stumped in marine mechanics. First big question is this a 2 or 4 stroke? I'm not seeing any kind of oil filter or cap. Second big question is there any kind of common problem with water not cycling and it over heating? Mine does not seem to pump water. Any help is extremely appreciated!

It will be a 2 stroke.---Mix gas and oil at 50:1 ratio.----When you buy a used boat or motor you have to put a new water pump impeller in the lower unit.

I did however empty the tank and fill with a 30ish:1. A 50:1 won't choke it out? I'm not questioning your knowledge but am extremely thankful to get advise I am not find a whole lot of information anywhere on these motors and hope it isn't too late (previous owner not knowing anything about boats)

???---Sorry------I really think you need some math tutoring as 50:1 is less oil than 30:1.-----
