I wonder if anyone could give me some advise here.
I have a 85 bayliner with a 85 force motor on it.
I take off slow for 3-4 minutes, then kick it all the way down and it goes fine.At least for the most part...as after it hits full,it seems to drop just a smidgeon, then pick up,then drop then pick up...Not alot, but noticeable.
Then when i decellerate to slow again,if i kick it down too quick,it boggs and floods.
If I wait the 3-4 minutes and hit full throttle,it is again fine for the most part.(like stated above)
Seems like it takes it a little while running slow to get it back on coarse to do a full throttle again.
Kinda strange.
decarbed,new plugs,baffle,exc.
I tried to road time it as i dont have a timming light, and not familiar on that area yet.
I tried setting the 3 carbs to 1 1/4 or more,then down to 3/4
i think it seemed not to even take off when it was at 3/4
The timming screw I cannot let out anymore,as it seems loose and not doing anything.Just floating there.
So I got it turned in to keep it tight and not move from vibration.
Turning in is advancing the timming right?
When i start it sometimes it pops like its flodded. You know, pop and not start. But I try it again, and it starts just fine.
Thats pretty much all I can say about the attitude it has..lol
Any advise would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Scotty
oh p.s.
I seem not to have any smooth running from slow to high.In other words, anything in between full throttle and putzing around it boggs.
So no middle throttle. But if i slowly decellerats,it sounds good..Going back down to slow that is.
But then again if i don't drive slow for 3-4 minutes,i cannot get full throttle again.
