1985 85hp force looses power

I was running wot at 5200 rpms on monday and then it started to slowly loose rpm so I brought the rpms to 4200 and it ran fine all day. I'm wondering if it is the fuel pump. I have had the boat for 1 year and I never replaced it yet. Should I replace the pump?

She is starving for fuel at full throttle. Check and possibly replace the fuel pump diaphragm but also check the complete fuel system for restrictions and clogs.

I had just replaced the fuel line with a new mercury fuel line. I'll have to check the hose clamps to see if they came loose. I ordered the rebuild kit. How hard is it to do?

very easy, just have to remove some screws, theres instructions on the forum somewhere.
