I have a 1985 50 hp with new plugs, wires, coils, points, condensers, rebuilt carburator and clean fuel pump. It cranks with a touch of the ignition and idles fine, when i put in the water and throttle up it seems to have no top end. It runs smooth with a little hesitation sometimes but only runs about 6 mph and drinks fuel. Any ideas i cant afford to waste more money on this motor despite how minor i think the repair could be. I have replaced so much and cannot get it to move. Please help me i am drowning in this motor???? Model is a 507x5a. Thanks for any and all help and ideas!
