Hello all,
I am rebuilding the carb on my 170 and upon taking it apart I removed the spring clip from above the screen in the carb body where the accelerator pump sits. As I turned the body over to let the screen fall out a ball bearing fell out from somewhere. My rebuild diagram does not show a ball bearing under the screen. Just looking to see if anyone knows if there should be a ball bearing under the screen or if it fell out from somewhere else I hadn't noticed.
As seen in the picture my diagram does not show a bearing under the screen, I added it in red as a referance.

There is a hole in the pump chamber that is connected to the float bowl where the check ball fits. To locate the hole put some gas in the float chamber and you will see where the check ball has to fit.

I did finally find a youtube video that shows where the check ball is to be located. As I suspected it goes under the screen in the accelerator pump housing.
