Good morning, all!

So we'll be trading off our 1979 Winnebago Brave for a 17' 1986 Larson O/B with a 115 Merc this evening. The boat is going to need a ton of work, including new floor, probably stringers, transom, foam, etc. Of course, we are going to be re-doing the interior of the boat as well. I was just wondering if you guys had a choice place to buy boat interior pieces from. I'm looking at carpet, seats, and cushions for the front of the boat. I just want to get a feel for how much this portion of it will cost. We'll be doing everything over the winter.

Also, now that I'm thinking about it, how universal are the seats that you can get online? Are they pretty much all the same size in any boat?

Welcome to iBoats!

A lot of the guys here on the forum have been doing their own re-upholstering of the existing seats and pads. Really not that hard to do and get really nice results. Save you hundreds of dollars and a nice winter project. Open a free Photobucket account, upload some pics ot the boat there and then use the IMG Code to copy and paste some pics of her into this iBoats thread so we can all take a gander at what she looks like.

I don't know much about winnebago's but it sounds like you are getting the short end of the stick unless what you have is a complete project as well.

Yep, it's a complete project, too. We'd probably dump just as much money into that thing between tires, new fridge, and possibly the AC as we would into the boat. And I want a boat. LOL!

I've been lurking for a while and joined iBoats in April. Now that I know what we'll be getting, I'll be posting way more and asking a zillion questions. I do think that most of the seats are a total loss, though. Like the padding is crap and everything. I'll post pictures tonight when we get it. I may have a few pictures on my phone I can upload, too. I won't be able to do it until after lunch, though.
