Hi again, I have one more question. I cannot find in the Clymer's or on here how to disassemble the tilt/trim. I have a seal that is leaking on the port side ram. It is on the top/piston end, so I'm assuming (bad) that I can do this without taking the whole system apart. Here's my approach, new seals on order (iboats), bleed the system dry by sucking out the fluid from the drain/fill plug. Leave drain plug out, open the manual release, run the system (or attempt to) to completely take away any pressure. Then with the motor down, unbolt the piston, undo the cap ( I welded/machined up a spanner wrench tonight for this purpose), replace the seals (the ones that come in the kit), reassemble and follow the directions in clymers for replenishing the system from empty. Any thoughts? My main question is, motor up or down (braced) during the removal of the piston from the motor?

I'm going to rip this apart this weekend. The seals should be here on monday. Can someone confirm for me that this is the right way to go about accomplishing this?
