Just been lurking your thread so glad to see it's all good again. While the transomsaver is good to have you're not going to go south without it. I still have yet to get a TS for the Jet and have towed it around with just the motor tilted up for the time between getting it sea worthy and when I tore it down for full restore with no ill effect.

As for the rivets - save em you'll get MBS before long and be into another project.

I took the boat out for about an hour last night...
The new transom had no leaks & it was as strong as an ox.
I was very pleased to find that the strength of a new transom seems to help me get on top of the water quicker.
Stupidly, I forgot to install the transom saver before I left the house.
But, I was happy to look in the rear-view mirror & see that the motor didn't really do any bouncing.
I'll use it for trailering, from now on...But, it was good to see that I built a hefty transom that could take a beating.

Now...What do I do with all the spare closed rivets?

Congrats Kit! Great you got back out on the water again and found no leaks AND a solid transom! That's funny about the transom saver....
