I just got a 1986 Blue Fin Sportsman from an estate sale, the interior has been modified but nobody seemed to know about the boat. Currently it has a portable fuel tank but I discovered a built in one in the bow of the boat. I really need to talk to someone that can answer some questions I have about this boat. HELP Thank You. Mike

Boats like yours are pretty much built the same way, they all copy each other one.way or another. Ask away here and I am betting your questions will be satisfactorily answered.

I feel pretty safe telling you that no other boat I've seen was equipped with anything like that. Tells me that's a one off installation you may never know the answer for.

Seen something similar once, but was a little taller and was a 12" pole with a ball on top.

Guy said it was to keep the fish line from tangling or getting caught up on the motor when the trolled, said the wife didn't pay attention to her line, the wind, the boat shifting direction , while they were slow trolling for walleyes.

Looks like previous owner may have done some trolling with that kicker motor.
